Sprenger FC special curb bit
The Sprenger "special curb bit" comes with a flat, widened reed clearance, which creates enough space for strong reeds without giving the bow a too high arch. This low curvature protects the horse's sensitive palate and is therefore ideal for horses with a very flat palatal arch. You can choose between a 5cm or 7cm long underlay, which either increases (7cm) or decreases (5cm) the pressure on the neck. It should be noted, however, that the lever is significantly shorter for 5cm suits than for 7cm suits and the aids therefore work faster. In both cases the use requires an experienced and sensitive rider's hand. It is important to note that the curb bit is lower than the underlay bridle. As the mouth becomes narrower towards the front, the curb bit should therefore be ordered 0.5 - 1cm shorter.
