Trust Sweet Iron Pony Full Cheek Bit Locked

This pony full cheek bit by Trust is a model with bars as side pieces and a mouthpiece which is a combination of a bar bit and a jointed bit. This means that if the pony goes against the hand and there is pressure on the reins, the jointed bit locks and becomes a straight bar. When the pressure is released, it becomes a normal jointed bit again. The bars exert pressure on the cheeks, limiting the pony laterally. This supports it in stance and bend during turns. Chewing activity is naturally stimulated by the Sweet Iron alloy as it creates sweet tasting surface rust. It also encourages the flow of saliva. This bit is ideal for young ponies and those that go strongly against the hand.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
