Trust Sweet Iron Full Cheek Bit Dr. Bristol

The Dr. Bristol Full Cheek Bit is made by Trust and is ideal for strong, hot horses. The long bars limit the horse laterally by exerting pressure against the cheeks. This also supports the horse in stance and bend, as the head is automatically pushed in the right direction. The mouthpiece is double-broken, with the middle piece angled and flat-edged. It acts mainly on the tongue through the angled centre piece with a sharp action. The visible blue colour is a special Sweet Iron alloy which tastes sweet to horses so that saliva production is naturally stimulated.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
