Note: A proper fit is essential for optimal use of Carbon Air boots. To allow for a secure fit, these boots must be tightened firmly. The boot must be removed from the packaging and the protectors must be squeezed between the fingers to shape them. The protectors are often flattened in the packaging and need to be made more pliable for the best fit. One by one, the top, middle and bottom straps are tightened. When the position of the boots is satisfactory, the middle form strap with the elastic part must be tightened again. This is very important because it takes up the slack of the boot where the leg is narrower and prevents rotation. The lower strap should be slanted slightly downward to allow for an optimal fit around the fetlock.
