Innovative shape: what makes the Micklem bridle so special?

The Micklem bridle provides optimum wearing comfort. This is due to the fact that the Micklem bridle is tailored to the shape of the horse's head. The inventor of this bridle, William Micklem, sets completely new standards when it comes to bridles. At present, the Micklem bridle is considered to be one of the smoothest bridles among the currently available variants.

The idea behind the Micklem bridle: sensitive areas on and around the horse's head are left out:

  • Especially the noseband contributes significantly to reducing the pressure on bones and nerves and distributes it optimally.
  • The positioning of the noseband and cheekpiece completely avoids the bit and cheekbone. This means that there is no pressure on the teeth and cheeks and the tongue is not squeezed. Your horse will therefore accept the reins more easily and its head and neck posture will improve considerably.
  • To avoid pressure points from the beginning, the Micklem bridle consists largely of one single piece of leather.
  • This bridle variant is specially shaped and padded in the neck area. It also distributes the pressure evenly and prevents pressure points behind the horse's ears. Thanks to its padding, the headpiece is very comfortable to wear for the horse.

Especially for young and inexperienced horses as well as animals with a sensitive character, the Micklem bridle proves to be a true asset.

The two versions of the Rambo Micklem bridle

The Micklem bridle is available in two different versions: the Micklem Multibridle and the Micklem competition bridle. In its Rambo line, the manufacturer Horseware offers corresponding models in premium quality. The Rambo Micklem bridle is considered to be the first anatomical bridle and is therefore becoming increasingly popular in equestrian sport.

A bonus for anyone who wants to give the bridle a personal touch: the browband can be exchanged and individualised with Magictack, for example.

Micklem Multibridle: the all-rounder

The Micklem bridle is a true all-rounder among bridles. It is popular for riding and also for training young horses.

A major advantage is that the Micklem Multibridle can also be used without a bit. If you decide to do this, you can use the Micklem bridle in three different ways: crossed under the chin, crossed under the jaw or as a sidepull.

As the Micklem bridle has a ring attached to the front, it is ideal as an alternative to a lunging cavesson. The Micklem bridle is becoming increasingly popular for lunging because of its gentle effect on the horse and its loose contact between the mouth of the horse and the rider.

Micklem Competition Bridle: the competition version

Unlike the Micklem Multibridle, the Micklem Competition Bridle can only be used in combination with a bit. This, however, makes it possible to use the Micklem bridle at competitions as well. Corresponding approvals according to the FEI tournament regulations already exist.
