Size guide

• a well-fitting bit can serve as a reference for the correct size
• alternatively, measure the mouth width:
• place a bit gauge or soft string in the mouth at the intended position
• mark the ends and measure the distance
• correct bit width: the rings should sit just outside or slightly beyond the corners of the mouth
• bit that is too tight: puts pressure on and can cause pressure marks
• bit that is too wide: shifts around in the mouth
• bits with freely moving rings
• allow for about 1 cm of play on one side
• prevents the lips from getting pinched and allows for free rotation
